A representation of nature’s last-ditch effort to survive. Diseased lichen and poisoned plants reclaim this once sterile space in an act of desperation.

As nature consumes the shower before you our exclusionary relationship with our environment is challenged.

As pollution spreads throughout our world, corruption spreads through the ceramic lichen and plant life in this space. Is there hope for a new Eden, or is the disease too far gone?

We leave nature no option but to seek refuge in new spaces; we must learn to share with nature and care for it. Or be left baron.

Ross approaches this theme using a mixture of mediums including ceramics, printmaking, and photography.
